#25 Belgium: waffle
Keller *really* loves waffles. We make them multiple times a week. He pours all the ingredients and mixes everything all by himself. He loves adding "cimmanim" at the end. Because we make them SO OFTEN, I don't even measure anything anymore. We use the Namaste gluten free pancake/waffle batter, which is amazing. You can just read the recipe on the box! We use flax seed and almond milk instead of eggs and milk. We also occasionally add smashed banana... and we ALWAYS add cinnamon. Eh what the heck, I'll write out a recipe, but, seriously, just look on the box if you need things to turn out perfectly.
Waffles
Ingredients:
1 Tablespoon ground flaxseed, soaked in 2 Tablespoons water
1 cup Namaste waffle mix
1/2 smashed banana
1/3 to 1/2 cup almond milk
as much cinnamon as Keller dumps in
Directions:
Combine. Poor into greased waffle iron.
We top them many different ways...
1. Earth Balance butter
2. peanut butter and jelly
3. So Delicious coconut whipped cream and berries
4. and very, very, very occasionally... maple syrup
Enjoy!
